Terms of Use for Career Pal

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Career Pal ("the App"), you agree to comply with these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you disagree, do not use the App.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use Career Pal.

By using OAuth (Google/Apple) or email sign-up, you confirm you are authorized to use the provided credentials.

3. Account Registration

Accuracy:

Provide truthful information (name, email, address) during sign-up.

Security:

You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials. Notify us immediately of unauthorized use.

OAuth:

Linking third-party accounts (Google/Apple) grants us access to the minimal data required for authentication.

4. Services Provided

Career Pal offers AI-driven tools to:

Resume Enhancement: Analyze and tailor your resume/CV to job descriptions.

Job Application: Use AI to draft and send applications via email (requires Gmail permissions).

Camera Processing: Extract job details from images of job postings (images are deleted after processing).

Note:
• AI-generated suggestions are not guaranteed to secure employment.
• You are responsible for reviewing all AI-generated content (e.g., emails, resumes) before submission.

5. User Responsibilities

Content Ownership:

You retain rights to your resume/CV and job application materials but grant Career Pal a license to process and store them for service delivery.

Prohibited Actions:

• Upload harmful, fraudulent, or copyrighted content without permission.
• Reverse-engineer, hack, or misuse the App's AI or infrastructure.
• Use the App for illegal purposes or spam.

Gmail Permissions:

You agree to comply with Google's API Terms when granting access to send emails.

6. Termination

• You may delete your account at any time via the App.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms.
• Upon termination, your data will be deleted as outlined in the Privacy Policy.

7. Disclaimers

No Warranty:

The App is provided "as is." We do not guarantee:
• Accuracy of AI-generated content.
• Job offers or application success.
• Uninterrupted or error-free service.

Third-Party Links:

We are not responsible for external websites linked through job postings.

8. Limitation of Liability

We are not liable for:
• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (e.g., lost job opportunities).
• Misuse of your Gmail account or resume data by third parties.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Tunisia. Disputes will be resolved in Tunisian courts.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Significant updates will be notified via email or in-app alerts.
